MiniApp Launch Review Standards

1. General Standards

1.1 Basic Information Standards

  • The basic information of the MiniApp (name, logo, introduction) must be coherent and related to each other.
  • The MiniApp's basic information must comply with laws and regulations, avoiding illegal content such as pornography, infringement, violence, etc. For instance, it should not involve "pornography, gambling, drugs, tobacco, etc." Additionally, it must refrain from displaying political affiliations, political colors, or culturally sensitive content.
  • The MiniApp's basic information should only utilize third-party trademarks, brand identities, or similar content with proper authorization, ensuring no infringement upon others' intellectual property and legal rights (e.g., portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc.).
  • The MiniApp's basic information must not include content related to malicious traffic diversion, encompassing, but not limited to, official websites, invitation codes, URLs, phone numbers, addresses, social accounts, and other contact information.
  • The depiction of the MiniApp's basic information should align with its actual functionality.
  • The MiniApp's basic information must only accept categories approved by the platform.
  • The MiniApp must avoid malicious, fraudulent content, prioritizing the safety of users' property and legal rights.

1.2 Name Review Standards

  • The name of the MiniApp should be 4 to 20 characters long and exclude special symbols, spaces, traditional characters, rare characters, or emojis.
  • The MiniApp's name should reflect its description and provided services, ensuring clarity and distinctiveness without confusing with existing MiniApps.
  • The MiniApp's name should denote the brand, industry, and service, potentially incorporating brand/trademark/company name keywords alongside industry and geographical indicators. However, the use of pure geographical locations or commodity categories is prohibited.
  • The MiniApp's name must refrain from maliciously attracting attention by utilizing trending social words or terms related to government activity. It should remain directly related to the service itself.

1.3 Logo Review Standards

  • The MiniApp avatar must be clear, recognizable, and prominently display the core graphic, adhering to standard image formats while avoiding rounded or pure URL avatars.
  • QR codes, URLs, telephone numbers, social accounts, and similar elements are prohibited as avatars. Portraits require documented authorization for portrait rights.
  • To ensure compliance with laws and regulations, using national symbolic elements such as flags or emblems as avatars is prohibited.
  • To avoid user confusion, MiniApp avatars should avoid incorporating external website references, watermarks, icons, logos, or supplementary labels like red dots, NEW, HOT, etc.
  • The MiniApp avatar must comply with content safety regulations, ensure that no illegal content is included, and align with the platform's content standards and review criteria.

1.4 Description Review Standards

  • The MiniApp description should concisely introduce its essential functionalities, avoiding vague expressions or meaningless sentences.
  • The description length must be at most 300 characters. It must also avoid ambiguous language, incoherent statements, typographical errors, or irrelevant word stuffing.

2. Entity Standards

The MiniApp's primary entity must conform to the laws, regulations, and standards of both its operating country and target market, while also adhering to the rules and systems of the platform.

2.1 MiniApp Entity Standards

  • Developers and operators of MiniApps are required to comply with the norms, laws, regulations, and departmental rules of their respective countries and markets. Platforms reserve the right to decline listing any MiniApp suspected of violating these provisions, policies, or requirements.
  • Platforms also retain the right to reject any party suspected of participating in or facilitating illegal MiniApp development or operation activities. If the platform discovers such activities post-launch, it may impose penalties such as delisting.
  • Suppose the developer or operator of a MiniApp needs to obtain the necessary licenses or valid permits for publishing, disseminating, or engaging in related business activities. In that case, the platform reserves the right to reject its launch. Suppose the MiniApp's qualifications expire after launch or changes in laws and regulations result in it no longer possessing the required business qualifications. In that case, the platform reserves the right to delist it.

3. Content Standards

The MiniApp's content must align with the requirements and standards of the chosen category, and the actual business conducted must not deviate from the category description or infringe upon relevant regulations.

3.1 Violation of National Laws and Regulations

  • MiniApps must not contain content that violates national laws and regulations or contradicts mainstream politics and national laws, including but not limited to pornography, gambling, drugs, violence, terrorism, cults, and anti-social content.
  • MiniApps must not contain content involving violence, defamation, personal attacks, or insults to individuals or groups.
  • MiniApps must not incite racial hatred, discrimination, or insult national culture.
  • MiniApps must not contravene national religious policies or promote cults or feudal superstitions.
  • MiniApps must not contain content that violates social order and good customs.
  • MiniApps must not contain pornographic or vulgar content, including but not limited to pornographic materials, sexual suggestions, and associations.

3.2 Third-Party Infringement

  • MiniApps must not use unauthorized political, sports, or other celebrity names or portraits.
  • MiniApps must not contain content that infringes upon the legal rights of others, including but not limited to portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, name rights, intellectual property rights, etc.
  • MiniApps must not contain repetitive or plagiarized content, including but not limited to copying text, images, videos, user interface designs, functionality, etc., from other MiniApps. Developers must ensure that all content and functionality of their MiniApps are original or legally authorized.
  • MiniApps must not use trademarks, brand identities, or other content belonging to third parties unless the developer provides legal authorization or cooperation agreements from third-party institutions or individuals. If the developer is the rights holder, relevant proof of rights must be provided.

3.3 Exaggeration or False Advertising

  • MiniApps must not contain actions that impersonate official status, including but not limited to the use of official emblems, names, or other confusing elements.
  • MiniApps must not use absolute language or concept substitution to exaggerate advertising.
  • MiniApps must not use false or vague advertising methods, including, but not limited to, exaggerating product or service functions, promising non-existent privileges or benefits, using unverifiable data or evidence, etc.
  • MiniApps must not induce consumption or provide false services or content, including but not limited to false advertisements, false discount information, or operations that deceive users.

4. Product functional specifications

4.1 MiniApp Product Functionality

  • MiniApp developers must refrain from repeatedly submitting identical or highly homogenized MiniApps.
  • Developers must avoid consecutively uploading versions of MiniApps that contain issues.
  • MiniApps should not include behaviors that guide users to exit the MiniApp.
  • The misuse of platform features such as pop-ups and sharing within MiniApps is prohibited.
  • The functionality of a MiniApp should align with its business scope during qualification certification.
  • MiniApps are not permitted to facilitate the sharing of illegal files or content.
  • Special industries are required to submit corresponding industry qualification certificates.
  • The content of MiniApps should fall within the permitted range of qualifications provided by the developer. If there is new content iteration in the MiniApp, corresponding qualification proof should be supplemented.
  • Services within MiniApps must not be illegal or infringe upon rights.
  • MiniApps should include actual usable features.
  • MiniApps must not guide users to download other applications unless previously approved by the platform or included in a whitelist.
  • Contests and lottery activities within MiniApps must have clear and detailed rules and descriptions on their respective pages.
  • MiniApps must not include content that could cause users to misinterpret the platform's actions.
  • MiniApps must not include malicious push notifications, viruses, or other code risks that may affect the normal use of mobile devices.

4.2 MiniApp Usability

  • The MiniApps listed must open smoothly without experiencing continuous crashes, white screens on the home page, or any other issues that hinder normal operation.
  • Once a MiniApp is listed, its functionality must align with the description provided during the review process, ensuring consistency between the stated features and the actual performance.
  • If a MiniApp requires registration and login for usage, a test account must be provided.
  • If a MiniApp needs to be used in conjunction with offline scenarios, corresponding service video recordings must be provided.
  • MiniApp products must offer practical, usable functionality. This includes avoiding purely test-oriented or meaningless content, abnormal pages/functions, non-functional features, and the presence of obvious bugs.

5. User Experience Standards

5.1 MiniApp Product Experience

  • The main features of the MiniApp must have practical use value and should not be overly simplistic or lack substantive content.
  • The basic information of the MiniApp must be related to the product or service offered. The name, introduction, LOGO, and category type of the MiniApp should match the product or service provided to prevent users from misunderstanding the actual functionality or service scope of the MiniApp.
  • The MiniApp must maintain consistency in aspects such as launch within and outside the app, web packaging, template application, content aggregation, or list of links.
  • The format of the MiniApp interface must be standardized with a clear content layout and reasonable loading times; prolonged loading failures or empty content should not occur.
  • MiniApps must not force or mislead users into adding them to the home screen. For example, situations where users cannot exit or are defaulted to adding an icon to the home screen should not occur.
  • The content of the MiniApp must not load H5 pages that are unrelated to its main business scope.
  • The main functionality of the MiniApp should not rely on other MiniApps or external applications.
  • The features of the MiniApp must not include content that severely impacts the user experience.

5.2 Ad specifications within MiniApp

  • MiniApps must avoid incorporating deceptive, disruptive, or coercive advertising behaviors, as well as refraining from excessive marketing or dissemination of harassing messages or spam to ensure a seamless user experience.
  • The primary purpose of the MiniApp should be to provide valuable content or services, not solely to display advertisements or for marketing purposes.
  • Ads within the MiniApp should not frequently pop up in floating windows, interrupting user operations and affecting the user experience.
  • Ads within the MiniApp must not contain inappropriate or illegal information (such as pornography, gambling, endangering national security, etc.) and will be rejected.
  • MiniApps must not modify the system's default settings without user permission.
  • Ads within the MiniApp must not induce user clicks and should maintain a clear boundary between the advertisements and the content.
  • The advertising section should not cover the app's functional buttons to prevent accidental touches or impacting the user's normal operations.
  • The method of displaying ads should be in harmony with the overall style and user experience of the MiniApp.
  • Ad content should comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
